Goldman Sachs’ Support for Hurricane Irma Relief and Recovery Efforts

Similar to the firm’s response to Hurricane Harvey, Goldman Sachs is taking a multi-pronged approach to support relief and recovery efforts in Florida and the Caribbean. Through grants recommended by the firm’s partners, Goldman Sachs Gives, the firm's donor-advised fund, is committing $500,000 to organizations assisting in immediate search, clean-up and recovery efforts. In addition, our teams are considering how to best support those affected, including homeowners and small businesses, over the coming months.

The firm will also match donations made by eligible employees dollar-for-dollar through the firm’s Matching Gift Program to these and other nonprofits:

• Donorschoose.org
• International Medical Corps
• Miami Dade College
• Mission Continues
• Red Cross
• Salvation Army
• Save the Children
• Team Rubicon

Goldman Sachs’ Office of Corporate Engagement is also working closely with disaster relief partners in the area to determine where our assistance can be most effective, and will work with colleagues in Miami and West Palm Beach to organize volunteering projects through Community TeamWorks, the firm’s employee volunteering initiative.
