Weeks after announcing his plans to step down as Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs, Lloyd Blankfein sat down with interns for an Explore GS session. The Explore GS series provides our interns around the world with insights and advice from leaders across the firm.
In a discussion moderated by Sheila Patel, CEO of International Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Lloyd spoke about his experience living through key transitions over his career and the importance of taking the long view through such changes. He also shared advice on charting a successful career path, which he said begins with even the simplest tasks – like checking for typos.
