Goldman Sachs Tops Ideal Employer Rankings

17 FEB 2016

Edith Cooper, global head of Human Capital Management, discusses how Goldman Sachs recruits, retains and rewards our people – contributing to what makes Goldman Sachs the #1 company financial services professionals want to work for, according to the 2016 eFinancialCareers “Ideal Employer” rankings.

More than 80% of respondents highlighted Goldman Sachs’ position as a “leader in the industry” and competitive compensation package. Respondents also recognized the firm for the opportunities it provides to work with “key players in the financial sector.”

Edith tells eFinancialCareers that Goldman Sachs uses compensation and promotion to recognize employees who contribute to the culture of the firm and are “dynamic, intellectually curious and comfortable understanding that market forces can lead to opportunities and risk for our clients, being able to connect the dots to all of the things that are important to clients.”

Edith also discusses the firm’s efforts to enhance the personal and professional experience of our people.

The “Ideal Employer” study explores the professional, demographic and attitudinal nuances that determine who someone considers their ideal employer. The research was conducted between October and December 2015 and included responses from over 6,500 finance professionals globally, across more than 30 countries.
