Goldman Sachs Hosts Fourth Annual Sports Challenge With Greenhouse Sports Charity
Goldman Sachs hosted the fourth annual Greenhouse Sports Challenge on July 8, 2015 welcoming to our London campus young people from sports and performing arts charity Greenhouse Sports for an internal basketball and table tennis tournament.
More than 180 people from divisions across Goldman Sachs participated in the competition. Young people from London-based Greenhouse Sports led the warm-up sessions, umpired the matches and helped keep score.
Simon Holden, co-chief operating officer of the Global Technology, Media and Telecom Group in the Investment Banking Division (IBD), awarded trophies and medals to the winners alongside John Amaechi, a former National Basketball Association player.
Greenhouse Sports aims to improve the lives of underserved young people across London by delivering sports programmes in schools, of which 12 are supported by Goldman Sachs Gives.
