6. What Group Speaks 37 Languages and Attends 496 Schools? The Goldman Sachs Summer Intern Class
Approximately 3,000 undergraduate and graduate students, from nearly 500 schools around the world, are joining Goldman Sachs as summer analysts and associates this year. They are diverse in their backgrounds as well as their interests and hobbies – globally, nearly half are women and more than 40% are STEM majors– and the class also includes a certified sommelier, former FBI intelligence analyst and two international figure skating champions, among others, and sit in each division of the firm in more than 20 offices around the globe.

On the day after being named successor to Lloyd Blankfein as the Chairman and CEO of Goldman Sachs, David Solomon, the firm’s current President and COO, sat down with interns for an Explore GS session. 8. Goldman Sachs Hosts Its 2nd Annual Leadership Summit for Students of Historically Black Colleges and Universities
One-hundred twenty-three student leaders from 32 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across the US convened at the firm’s headquarters in New York recently for the 2nd annual Goldman Sachs HBCU Leadership Summit.
