Goldman Sachs believes that a healthy environment is necessary for the well-being of society, our people and our business, and is the foundation for a sustainable and strong economy.
The Goldman Sachs Environmental Policy Framework, established in November 2005, embodies the philosophy that capital markets can and should play an important role in addressing today's environmental challenges.
Our Environmental Markets Group is responsible for ensuring that our people, capital, and ideas are leveraged effectively to further market-based solutions to environmental issues and to create new business opportunities that benefit our clients, shareholders and the environment. The group informs, coordinates and helps drive environmental initiatives across Goldman Sachs, manages the Center for Environmental Markets, and actively engages with stakeholders in the environmental community.
