Goldman Sachs is committed to assisting those in need and the communities where we work and live through volunteer endeavors and partnerships with nonprofit organizations. Community TeamWorks embodies this commitment and gives our people one day off each year to volunteer in team-based projects coordinated with local nonprofit organizations.
Since 1997, Community TeamWorks has offered innovative volunteering opportunities worldwide that make a tangible difference in our communities and that foster inter- and intra-divisional camaraderie within the firm. In 2007, over 20,900 Goldman Sachs employees, families and friends partnered with 726 nonprofit organizations in 1,650 volunteer projects, including working with the elderly, building homes, mentoring youth, and preserving and restoring the beauty of our environment.
Our people bring to their community service the same qualities they bring to their professional work: excellence, commitment, innovation, energy, new ideas, and an appreciation of both the big picture and the importance of the individual.
Community TeamWorks has been a defining part of the Goldman Sachs culture since 1997. In recognition of its Ten Year Anniversary, the Charitable Services Group interviewed volunteers and filmed Community TeamWorks projects across the globe to capture and celebrate your part in our history.
