Overview
In 2007, Goldman Sachs and its affiliates donated approximately $101 million to various charitable institutions worldwide, including educational programs, arts and cultural institutions, and social service agencies. Of the $101 million, $40.2 million was awarded directly to nonprofit organizations, $50 million was granted to Goldman Sachs Gives and $10.8 million was donated to additional nonprofits through our employee matching gift program.

In addition, The Goldman Sachs Foundation donated in 2007 approximately $19 million to charitable and educational organizations worldwide. The Foundation's mission is to promote excellence and innovation in education. Current areas of focus are Developing High Potential Youth; Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Business; and Advancing Academic Achievement.
