Having gained my first degree in Applied Physics followed by a masters in Fire Safety Engineering, my natural inclination is to veer towards science and engineering, an industry that I have worked in as an engineering consultant for the past 10 years. Therefore in my earlier career, I would have never expected to be working for an investment bank let alone Goldman Sachs. However, I am really happy and comfortable at the firm. It’s great to be able to work in a ‘new’ industry and still use my specialist skills to make a contribution to the operation of the business.

Goldman Sachs is a large organization. Apart from the obvious finance careers, I really think that there’s a career here for many different types of professionals. The firm definitely looks for specialists to support its core business.
