In my second year at Imperial College, London, a friend told me about a one-day “introduction to investment banking symposium,” which I subsequently attended. That was my first interaction with Goldman Sachs. That day, senior professionals from the various divisions within the firm took the time to explain the function of the different parts and how they all fit together.

Everyone was really helpful. I stayed in touch with a couple of the professionals and applied for the FICC and Equities summer internship program. The program lasted 10 weeks, 4 of which I spent on the desk I currently work on. At the end of the summer program, I was offered an analyst role.
