I have primary coverage responsibility for Ireland and also cover a number of proprietary trading and counterparty risk management desks in UK.

Most of my day is spent on the phone or in meetings, pitching trade ideas to my clients and executing trades on their behalf. One of the most challenging parts of this job is differentiating yourself from the competition. On any given morning you can be sure that there are at least five other people vying for your client’s time. You have to ensure that you have fresh ideas and a full understanding of the client’s needs to provide the best possible service.

I can go home each day knowing exactly how I have contributed to the firm. That gives me a great sense of fulfilment.
