I work in the Technology division of Goldman Sachs, with a focus on the alternative investments space of asset management. I’ve been involved with the Hedge Fund Strategies and Global Manager Strategies technology teams. Through my experiences with both teams, I’ve been involved in the development, maintenance and oversight of support tools that portfolio managers, product management and risk teams use for their research process, portfolio allocation and risk analysis.

My work is entirely based on team work. Some components of projects are worked on individually, but eventually the entire team comes together with all of the sub-components.

The most interesting aspect of my job is the network and people at Goldman Sachs. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some of the most brilliant minds on the street. Through my internship and analyst programs, I was able to build a strong network and get insight into various areas of the firm. I feel opportunities are readily available around the firm. The Goldman Sachs internal mobility program is one of a kind. There are numerous internal job openings listed, and they are very accessible.
