Studying finance, I knew that I wanted to work in the industry, but as a student there were many aspects of working in the corporate world that I had not anticipated. At the time, I did not expect to start my career with such a large organization; rather I expected to work for a smaller private firm or in the finance department of a non-financial company.

I would encourage anyone who is interested in a career in finance to be flexible and keep an open mind. This has helped me to recognize opportunities and think about other perspectives.
