I work in the Technology division on a team that is responsible for generating regulatory reports for the Asian markets. We usually support Korea, China and Japan. My key responsibility is to ensure that the reports are generated accurately and on time for controllers to verify. Our team also addresses any modifications to regulations that need to be updated in our system and we see to it that these regulations are complied on a regular basis. This involves understanding the changes and working closely with controllers to develop systems that will comply with the latest regulations.

I believe that the most interesting aspect of our work is regulating business. There are many things that happen in the market and we have to respond to these events as they come. They often bring new demands and requirements and we must change business systems quickly and appropriately to keep up with these regulatory adaptations. We constantly work and discuss ideas with people in different locations throughout this process. In addition, we receive input from various other systems in order to generate our reports.
