I was planning on moving back to Singapore after completing my degree in London. However, I received an invitation from my careers service, advertising for roles in Operations. I applied, hoping to pursue a career in finance after reading Economics and Geography at university.

My first few days with Goldman Sachs were in New York on the new analyst programme. I was completely amazed with the size and professionalism of the organisation. I was quite nervous and overwhelmed when learning about all the various businesses and people in the firm, however I was also extremely excited and eager to start learning my daily responsibilities and to add value to the team.
