I work in Global Compliance at Goldman Sachs. I cover compliance for the Merchant Banking division, which is essentially the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs. In this role, I have a wide variety of responsibilities. I spend a good deal of my time managing regulatory inquiries, training bankers, developing policies and procedures and responding to real-time inquiries such as personal securities trades, private investments and similar employee matters.

This firm is made up of entrepreneurs who see opportunities and take advantage of them — good ideas and fresh thinking are encouraged here.

I really enjoy thinking about how to manage risk for dynamic, cutting-edge businesses. The businesses I represent – the Principal Investment Area, Real Estate Principal Investment Area and the Infrastructure Investment Group – are run by creative, commercial thinkers. Seeing how they look at the world and helping them make sure the business operates the right way from a compliance perspective, is fascinating.
