I currently work in the trade processing team on the equity side and am responsible for handling proprietary and domestic client settlement. The thrilling part of the job is the proximity to the trading desk and the market. As a junior member in the team, my day-to-day work enables me to learn all the fundamentals and helps me better understand what’s behind the scene. Apart from my daily tasks, I’m also involved in a lot of projects in which I contribute to the team through knowledge gained from my previous roles.

The ability to work efficiently and to respond quickly is the most challenging part of the job, which requires a solid foundation and experience with various products in the market, an understanding of the trading and settlement rules, as well as the correct interpretation of regulatory requirements.

Working in a global firm such as Goldman Sachs has indeed given me the opportunity to interact with people from various backgrounds. Not only does it broaden my network but it also helps me develop a commercial and global mindset, which I believe is one of the key factors for the success of the firm. I feel that learning opportunities in this firm are endless, and I can only become better day by day.
