My average day begins by reading through news reports about the companies under our coverage. We look to see whether anything major occurred that might affect the share price or if there is anything we need to communicate with the investors. Then we start to focus on our main work, which consists of talking to clients, sales people and industry contacts, performing individual research, developing investment ideas and conducting team discussions.

I think the most challenging aspect of the job is that there are always high standards set by our great senior analysts. I need to be very self-motivated every day to improve myself in order to meet and beat those expectations. It is extremely rewarding to get that recognition from clients after putting in so much hard work. I feel like I am paid back for my efforts when the client finds my work helpful and useful to them.
