Ten years ago, I couldn’t have told you I’d end up here. I was always interested in finance and computers, but I never thought I would find the two blended as much as they are here at Goldman Sachs.

If I were to advise anyone considering a career in finance, I’d say this: Figure out what you love to do, then figure out the balance. We all work extremely hard and are sometimes known to stay late. You have to enjoy your work if you’re going to put in so many hours. In addition, you have to balance your life outside the office and your day-to-day job so you don’t burn out.

It is very rewarding to know that the firm puts extreme amounts of responsibility on its people as soon as they join the firm. I am proud to represent Equities Technology for Goldman Sachs.
