After college, I started my career in public accounting and consulting. Five years later, I decided to switch to equity research. Over the years, I have worked in Chicago, New York, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. After moving through these cities together, my wife (an architect) and I now live in China.

To anyone considering a career in finance, I would say that it is a lot of fun and extremely rewarding. The exposure and learning curves are incredible. On the other hand, it is a very demanding career and requires hard work and steadfast commitment. I believe you need to have a passion for this business to succeed in the long term.
