We have experienced strong growth in recent years and are proud of our position as a leading financial services institution in this key market. Since 1998, we have been providing innovative financial services to Russian clients and to foreign-based clients operating in Russia. In August 2006, a new local entity, Goldman Sachs OOO, received broker-dealer licenses from the Russian Federal Services for Financial Markets. In October 2006, Goldman Sachs was accepted as a member of both the MICEX and RTS exchanges and their respective depositories, allowing us to fully operate in the local markets.

In January 2007, we reopened our Moscow office, with more than 100 professionals working in various divisions. We are currently trading in Russian government, corporate and municipal bonds, foreign exchange and equities. Our Investment Banking Division works with leading businesses, institutions and governmental entities in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region and has advised on many leading transactions in the market. Our private equity team considers investments in equity and debt in companies across a wide range of industries and has made more than 15 investments in the region.

Our Moscow office offers broad exposure to all of the firm’s businesses. Every year brings new financial products to work on, so you can count on a job that’s anything but routine.
