Global Distribution Technology

Global Distribution Technology supports all products across the fixed income, equities, derivatives and securities desks with applications that support the business through all phases of a trade, starting with the generation of trade ideas and quotes to post-execution service.

With an emphasis on customer service, the team’s responsibilities include:

  • Developing systems that track client interactions, preferences, potential transactions and information flows 
  • Supporting clients by allocating settled trades across multiple customer accounts and providing pricing of clients' portfolios

Global Distribution Technology is comprised of the following departments:

Sales Capture builds sales desktop applications to enable voice dialog with trading, monitor order routing and electronic executions, and manage order status communications between client and trading desks.

Client Portfolio develops systems to retain customer valuation records, perform price verification, and provide report archiving capability for the pricing of clients' portfolios.

Merchandising provides functionality for marketing client ideas based on knowledge of client holdings, risk, preferences, corporate structure and the impact of economic events and news.

Client Relationship Management builds applications to monitor client relationships by capturing records of client on-site visits, conversations, action items and referrals between parties managing deals or relationships.

Client and Sales Metrics focuses on data warehousing client cost and revenue data. The team provides Sales with comprehensive reviews of client information, including revenue stream, hit ratio, relative rankings as per external surveys, sales profit and loss analysis and sales projections.

Client Reference Data provides tools for referencing client data such as client contacts, account information, sales coverage and organizational charts. This team also has responsibility for supervisory tools and functionality in support of compliance initiatives.

Institutional Portal offers external clients and internal sales people access to our content and services and works closely with the sales management and strategy group to deliver analytic tools for clients.

Firmwide Internet Group manages Web and security engineering, and provides infrastructure to support the development of Web-based and Java-based applications to internal and external clients.

Sales Core owns development, architecture and factoring services common across Global Sales application groups. Core services include security systems, visibility, cache management, content matching and subscriptions.

Capital Markets builds applications for the execution of IPOs, follow-on transactions, document management, Private Equity and Bond transactions. The group also provides the firm with reports and analytical tools.
