Human Capital Management analysts are hired into a department or function based on their summer internship interests and assessment or based on the divisional needs.
Upon joining Goldman Sachs, new analysts are able to go through a two week training program to allow them to integrate successfully into the firm and the division, and they are taught critical generic skills. Upon completion of the training program, the individual will begin work as an analyst in that particular business.
As you accelerate into your role, you will quickly become an integral member of the team, with defined responsibilities and projects. As you gain new skills and responsibilities, your ability to grow and be promoted within your group or in another function will be part of your career path in this division. Ongoing training, mentoring and development form an integral part of your experience and success as you grow and expand your responsibilities and career. Typically, new analysts will remain at this level for at least three years before being eligible for promotion based on performance.
