Goldman Sachs Named Among 100 Best Companies for Working Mothers
Working Mother magazine named Goldman Sachs to its list of 100 Best Companies for the ninth consecutive year. The list honors US companies with the best support programs for career-committed parents.
Goldman Sachs was recognized for its broad-range of offerings, including resilience coaching and for providing confidential advocacy services that help employees with any healthcare-related questions. The firm was also highlighted for on-site childbirth classes and for having a coordinator on staff to help expectant parents understand and take advantage of available resources.
“Our firm is focused on supporting the health and well-being of our working parents, and we are honored to have been recognized as leaders in this area,” said Michael Rendel, global head of Wellness and the firm's medical director. “We believe that providing the appropriate resources, support services and flexibility tools enhances the quality of our work environment and the overall experience of our people in their professional and personal lives.”
The 100 Best Companies list is based on an evaluation of each company’s work/life benefits, including child care, flexibility programs, paid parental leave and advancement of women.
“The Working Mother 100 Best Companies are the leaders in the advancement of women by supporting their need to integrate family and work successfully,” said Carol Evans, president of Working Mother Media, in a release.
