GOLDMAN SACHS CIO STEVE SCOPELLITE HONORED FOR TECHNOLOGICAL ACHIEVEMENT AND INNOVATION
Goldman Sachs Chief Information Officer, Steve Scopellite, was named tenth on Institutional Investor magazine’s 2012 Tech 50 list, an annual ranking that honors leaders in technological achievement and innovation within the financial services industry. According to the magazine, “The Institutional Investor Tech 50 stand out for their vision and agility in translating innovation into operational and competitive advantage.”
As CIO, Steve oversees Technology, the firm’s largest division with over 8,000 people. Technology forms a core part of Goldman Sachs’s product offering and client experience. “Goldman technology isn't just about automation and efficiency,” Steve remarked to Institutional Investor. “We see it as a business enabler, an accelerator, a control point — a source of competitive advantage.”
