Goldman Sachs Ranked Among Most Attractive Employers
Goldman Sachs was ranked fourth by undergraduate business students on Universum’s 2015 “World’s Most Attractive Employers” list. The list was reported by CNNMoney on June 24.
“The 2015 World’s Most Attractive Employers confirms that Millennials will go to work for companies whose stories they can tell, whose values they can espouse and whose businesses they can learn,” said Petter Nylander, CEO of Universum. Universum’s employer of choice list is based on the rankings of 240,000 students from the world’s 12 leading economies, revealing what they consider most important in their employment decisions.
“Hiring the best person for every job is core to our firm’s business strategy. In order to achieve that goal we are constantly expanding the ways in which we attract and recruit the best, most diverse talent,” said Edith Cooper, global head of Human Capital Management at Goldman Sachs. “In addition to traditional recruiting activities such as going on campus or posting job openings on our Careers site, we actively use social and digital media to engage with students as well as host experiential events including hackathons and Student Challenges.”
Recently Universum also reported that Goldman Sachs also took top honors in regional rankings of most attractive employers. In addition to ranking highly among business students, the firm trended upwards among IT and Computer Science students as the firm continues raising awareness of the breadth of career opportunities in engineering at Goldman Sachs and the financial services industry at large.
