Operations Division - Jersey City - VP - MVP Ops - Margin Lending Projects (Position # 22215)

Lead project manager, to work on wide range of global projects to support the increasingly complex challenges of the firm’s Margin, collateral management and derivatives valuation processes. Projects will range from systems implementations and process flow designs to support for development of strategic margin and derivatives valuation architecture. Based in New York with responsibility for implementation in all regions. Projects will span many products, including OTC and credit derivatives, Repo, Swaps and Margin lending. The margin, collateral and valuation functions support a wide range of clients, including Hedge funds, Institutional and Private clients, as well as internally Credit, Legal, IT and Controllers.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Project management and analysis
  • Project feasibility analysis
  • Project initiation and cost benefit analysis
  • Creating business requirements
  • Development of project outlines
  • Development of project plans
  • Planning, running and executing UAT
  • Project tracking and reporting
  • Work very closely with technology and operations
  • Designing new processes and approaches
  • Post project support

Experience/Skills:
  • Very strong interpersonal skills
  • Very strong analytical skills
  • Very strong oral and written communication skills
  • Previous involvement in project work
  • A good knowledge of products, eg Repo, Swaps, other derivatives is preferred, but not essential
  • Ability to work independently
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum 8 years experience
