Operations Division - New York - Tech Specialist/Analyst - Credit Derivatives - Trading Middle Office New York (Position # 21122)

Credit Derivative Flow Middle Office offers operational support and expertise to credit derivative trading desks. These desks include the Investment Grade, High Yield and Emerging Markets single name and index trading desks, as well as Correlation and Bank Loan CDS traders. CDMO is a team of derivatives specialists primarily responsible for trade capture reconciliation & verification liaising between FO, Controllers, Collateral, Confirmations and Settlement teams. The role requires strong product knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Trade Exception Queue resolution
  • End of Day Trade Verification
  • Ad-hoc trader/sales query resolution
  • Broker reconciliation
  • Trade editing and Trade edit PNL verification
  • Manual ledger postings and reconciliation
  • Settlements Fails and Discrepancy investigation and resolution
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new systems
  • Extensive use of derivatives trade management and investigation systems

Experience/Skills:
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work with a wide user group across multiply functions
  • Innate curiosity and derive to uncover and analyze issues, and see them fully through to conclusion
  • Significant control and risk management mindset
  • Self-motivated and confident when dealing with people from all areas of the firm, including in sensitive or tense situations
  • Ability to multi-task and deliver while working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Superior verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good PC application skills and comfort with learning complicated systems
  • Derivatives background a plus
